How often should artificial turf be professionally cleaned?
For most homes, a professional cleaning every three to six months keeps turf in good shape. Yards with dogs usually do best on a monthly or bi-monthly rhythm, since urine builds up in the infill faster than it rinses out. Light-traffic yards can often stretch to a seasonal cleaning.
Can you really get rid of dog urine smell in artificial grass?
Yes — but only by treating the cause, not the surface. Urine dries into crystals inside the infill, and those crystals keep releasing ammonia odor, especially in Arizona heat. We use enzyme treatments that digest the crystals and odor-causing bacteria at the source. Hosing alone just spreads the problem.
Is the cleaning safe for kids and pets?
Yes. The products we use are chosen for yards where kids play and pets roll around. Once the turf is dry after a cleaning, the yard is ready for normal use. If anyone in the household has sensitivities, mention it when you book and we'll walk you through exactly what we use.
How much does turf cleaning cost?

How long does a cleaning take?
Most residential yards are finished in a single visit, typically in a few hours depending on size and condition. Larger commercial areas or yards that need heavy pet treatment can take longer — we'll give you a realistic window with your quote.
Why does my turf look flat and matted?
Foot traffic bends the blades down in the same paths over and over, and the infill underneath slowly compacts. Power brooming lifts the blades back upright and redistributes the infill, which brings back the even, just-installed look and restores drainage.
Can weeds grow in artificial turf?
Yes. Wind-blown dust and seeds settle along edges, seams, and drainage lines, and weeds can sprout in that layer. They don't come through the backing — they grow in the debris on top of it. We pull them at the root and clean the edges so they're slower to return.
Do you clean putting greens?
Yes. Putting greens collect the same dust and debris as any turf, and a dirty green rolls slower and less true. We clean and groom greens carefully so the surface stays smooth and consistent.

Do I need to be home during the cleaning?
Usually not, as long as we can access the yard and a water source. Many customers aren't home during service. We do ask that dogs stay inside while we work. We're happy to do a quick walkthrough with you at the end if you are home.
